Fort Tour of Rajasthan is simply a package for those who have an eye for an exquisite craftsmanship. Rajasthan is an archaeology of forts and palaces which are coming from the days of yore. Fort Tour of Rajasthan entwines variegated forts of different Maharajas’ and presents them to you in a form of package which you cannot escape. As the name suggests, this package leaves most people bedazzled due to the intrinsic history it weaves. This is a suggestive 18 DAY TOUR PACKAGE for travellers from my side.
18 Day Punch!
Decipher yourself in Chandni Chowk.
Delhi is a land of contrasts. If you have posh locales like South Ex and Green Park, you also have places like Chandni chowk which unbelievably is thronged by more number of tourists then former two. It is a famous market place of Delhi from where you can book bulk orders. The market mainly deals with textiles and clothes. But as we are no resellers, we would visit Chandni chowk for something different and yet so interesting. What about a rickshaw ride in Chandni chowk. This is just an interesting way to have a look at the colonies which were created thousands of years ago. A photoshoot of the havelis’ would add to your Rajasthan Fort Tour portfolio.
If you happen to be in Chandni Chowk, we would not like you to miss Paranthawali Gali. This is one place where your stomach will generate citric acid to maximum and taste buds lurking for delicious food.
Loose yourself in Red Fort:
Red Fort would be your first step towards intiating Fort tour. Red Fort as the name suggest is constructed in red stone.
This would be evidently the most important fort of the Fort Tour Rajasthan. The fort is also known as the “ Lal Quila”, and is one of the famous palace of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This was the fort where Indian Prime Minister declared Indian independence.
Hold your breath at India Gate
India gate, an ancient monument. India Gate is a rich repository of Indias’ past as it commemorates Indian soldiers who died in the World War I and the Afghan Wars. The monument is also known as the All India War Memorial, and was edificed by Edwin Lutyens.
A Visit to Old Fort
You could visit this fort in the evening to watch the famous Sound and Light show.
Havelis of Mandawa
You would mark your Rajasthan fort tour from here as this would be the first city of the Rajasthan that you would be entering. Havelis of Mandawa are constructed in Rajput style of architecture, the walls of these havelis’ are decorated with paintings.
Sand Dunes of Bikaner
In between, the Rajasthan Fort tour, the golden sands would give you a brief stint to nature. Camel Safari is just the best way to experience the golden landscape of Rajasthan.
Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort would put stars on your heritage trails. Jaisalmer Fort was constructed in the year 1156 AD and marked the establishment of Rawal Jaisal's. Jaisalmer Fort is predominantly the best " SONAR KILA" of India. Yes! the fort carries the sobriquet of Sonar Kila. Get on to the top of the fort and watch the thorny bushes surrounding the fort.
Watch your Time at Clock Tower, Jodhpur
You would surely would want to have more of “ Time” on your Rajasthan fort tour. Clock Tower of Jodhpur would give you a fine oppurtunity to match the time of your handwatch. Probably you might manage more time from your busy schedule.
A View of City Palace on Lake Pichola.
How would City Palace appear from Lake Pichola. Ever thought of yourself rowing on a boat towards an architectural wonder of the yore days. City Palace of Udaipur leaves many bedazzled and it won’t be a surprise for you.
The Frescoed “ Palace” of Jaipur
Constructed by Sawai Pratap Singh , Hawa Mahal " Frescoed Palace". Renowned architect Lal Chand Usta constructed Hawa Mahal for the royal queens to watch the processions going underneath.
Agra Fort with Taj Mahal.
Usually most of the tour packages promotes Taj Mahal but on our fort tour we would like to mention more about Agra fort rather then Taj Mahal. Agra Fort is a UNESCO world Heritage site and is situated 2.5 kms away from North West of Taj Mahal.
WhatI would like you to do
Village : In Bikaner, we would like you to visit villages. Try speaking to village people. May be, you are not able to understand their language but you would surely like their hospitality. They are amicable people. Most of the villagers would either be Rajputs or Muslims.
Try Mehandi : This is one thing which I would want every woman companion should try. This is an Indian version of Tatoo.
Shopping in Rajasthan : Here you have number of things to purchase and since you would be covering not one but many cities of Rajasthan, shopping would form an exclusive adventure for you.
The attractions that I have mentioned above are surely present on your tour but there would be several other tourist attractions which would constitute Fort Tour Rajasthan. Some of them I haven’t mentioned above are Local Bazaars of Rajasthan, Lalgarh Palace, Kumbhalgarh Fort. WI would conduct full sightseeing tour for each destination.
