Tentative World Heritage Sites in India

India dots more than 25 world heritage sites,but there are still many which needs recoginition from UNESCO, I have tried to present few sites which may become NEW WORLD HERITAGE sites of India in years to come.


Dholavira Harrapan City


Informaly known as Kotada Timba Prachin Mahanagar Dholavira, this is one of the most prominent archaeological site of India belonging to Indus Valley Civilization. Located in Kutch district of Gujurat, Dholavira Harrapan City is supposed to have originated in 2900 BCE and city which older than Lothal



Wild Ass Sanctuary

One of its kind in ASia, this sanctuary is a habitat to indian wild ass. The sanctuary is like any other national park in India and should be visited for availing a unique experience.

Rani Ki Vav ( The Queen Stepwell)

Situated 2 km north west of Patan in Gujurat, this step well is a must watch. Constructed in 11- 12 th centuary, Rani Ki Vav is an architectural splendor. You would find sculpture of various dieties adorning the wall.

Situated at an altitude of 2076, the Kalka Shimla Railway was built to connect the summer capital of India in 1903 at an altitude of 2076 meters. It is a s a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge railway, offering panoramic view of the valley.
