Varanasi - Did you know?

Where swirling water of river Ganges takes the breathe away of every traveler!. Prayers bestowed at evening keeps the bell ringing for a while. The city of temples, god and beliefs, yes it is Varanasi, the unkept city of India.

With over thousand of years, the city retains the essence of quandom days and is counted as the oldest living city of India. Last year again the city fascinated the globe trotters and won itself a silver award for customer satisfaction in the Wanderlust Travel Awards 2007.

The city competed with Luang Prabang (Laos), Cordoba (Spain), Siena (Italy), San Francisco (USA) and beg itself a silver medal for itself, while Luang Prabang won a gold medal. So, did u say Varanasi is a chaotic dirty city? think again..........
